Privacy Policy
Last updated November 8, 2026
This policy describes how SystemDrill (systemdrill.com) handles personal data. If you do not agree with it, do not create an account or use the product.
Who we are
SystemDrill is an interview-prep product. Questions about this policy: hello@systemdrill.com.
What we collect
- Account. Email address, name, password hash (we never store your password in plain text), and identifiers from Google or GitHub if you use those to sign in.
- Prep activity. The role, company type, level and interview date you give us; mock-interview answers, architecture diagrams, scores, transcripts and concept-mastery data.
- Resume deep dives. Files or text you upload so we can extract projects for a follow-up interview. Do not upload anyone else’s personal data or confidential employer material.
- Billing. Plan tier and subscription dates. Card details are collected by our payment processor (Creem), not by SystemDrill.
- Technical logs. IP address, user agent, and coarse timestamps needed to run the service, fight abuse and debug outages. We do not run advertising pixels or sell this data.
How we use it
To create and secure your account, run and grade interviews, show reports and a prep plan, send transactional mail (verification, password reset), process subscriptions, and keep the product working. We do not use your answers to train a public model of our own, and we do not sell personal data.
AI processing
Answers, diagrams, resume extracts and the scenario rubric are sent to a third-party large language model provider (currently DeepSeek) so the interviewer and grader can run. Those providers process the content to return a model response. Treat anything you paste as if it will be read by that provider. Do not submit secrets, customer data, or confidential designs from an employer.
Processors we rely on
- Hosting, edge delivery and first-party page analytics: Vercel
- Database: PostgreSQL (hosted)
- Authentication: Better Auth, plus Google and GitHub if you choose them
- Email: Resend
- Payments: Creem
- Model inference: DeepSeek
Each processor handles data under its own terms, only as needed to provide that part of the service.
Cookies
We use a session cookie so we know you are signed in. It is required for the product to work. Our host (Vercel) also records first-party page views so we can see which pages are used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or ad pixels.
Retention
Account, transcripts, reports and resume uploads stay until you delete your account or ask us to erase them, unless we must keep a record (for example a billing event) to meet the law or stop fraud. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Email hello@systemdrill.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify it is you. You can also close the session with Sign out at any time.
Children
The product is built for working engineers. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International transfers
Infrastructure and processors may be located outside your country, including the United States and other regions. If that is not acceptable, do not use the service.
Changes
We will update this page when the practice changes and revise the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
